I have owned the Training Group, Lucyana Strong Arm, the bird launcher made by Tom Bridges (a tripod design), the Top Gun, and the Zinger Winger. [snip] The Zinger Winger is by far the best. I would not own any other type. The ZW will throw a duck much better than any person and it is always consistent. It does have its limitations in that it shoots only shotgun primers, but that is relatively minor. My dogs pickup on the sound at 350 plus yards. Rob Sampson was quick to make design changes and improvements based on user input and he has produced a great product. Mine have never failed except when I forget to plug in the Tritronics or when the batteries are low on the receiver or transmitter. Another great feature is that the receiver is mounted high on the leg about 60 inches off the ground. The others all mount near the ground which really interferes sometimes (brush, weeds, terrain, etc.) with the performance of the electronics. If and when you decide, get one from Rob. I am his best salesperson, unfortunately uncompensated!!!! They are the best."

Just wanted to let you know that the e collar is amazing!! It's so much fun to take Sasha to the park and actually play fetch. She brings the stick back and drops it at my feet (never done that before without food as an incentive) I rarely have to touch the remote. In the house her behavior is much better too. "I have sent 1000's of training birds through my two Zinger Wingers. They both still look close to new and nothing has bent, broken, fallen off, or needed adjustment. I have trained with almost all the launcher brands on the market, and the convenience of the Zinger Winger's lightweight design is second to none. What really tickles me is how "grab and go" they are. They set up so fast it is hard to believe if you have used any other winger brands. Since they are never staked down, it was a pleasant surprise to find out how stable they are in a cross wind. I use them in some strong winds and they have never even threatened to tip over. Finally, being able to adjust the throw angle infinitely, and reposition the winger quickly without messing with stakes, are practical advantages if you need make a change in the fall for one young dog in the training group. Because it's so easy to do, you'll tend to make the adjustments you should make for the individual dog, rather than make a young dog "come up to the test" because it's too hard to move a winger. We needed a very good kennel to ship my son's two American Staffordshire Terriers from Canada to Belize. The kennels are high quality, light, and very good at not letting the dogs out. "I just wanted to send a follow up after using my two Zinger Wingers for a couple weeks now. I am delighted with them. What an improvement over the original strongarms. I have thrown ducks, thawed and frozen, pigeons and just yesterday I used the ZW to launch a live duck. The ZW pouch allowed one person to man the gun station and both launch and shoot the duck. I am impressed by how far the unit will throw a bird. The high and long arc is great for long field trial marks. I especially like the idea that the arc is infinitely and quickly adjustable. After struggling with flimsy wire cages and plastic crates that could not stand up to the brute force of an anxiety ridden/escape artist Beauceron, I finally had enough and bought the Zinger 5000. It arrived just over a month and a half ago and I can safely say that he has been completely unable to do any damage or even come close to escaping this crate!

It was relatively easy to set up (Tip: you definitely need 2 people!) and while it’s bigger than other cages, it’s sleek metal design still looks great in my home. The heavy duty construction allows me to go to work and not worry that he might be breaking free and destroying my home and injuring himself in the process!

This is such a great product! Worth every penny (and I know it may seem like MANY pennies) for the peace of mind this crate has given me.
