I have use just about every “Slinger” product on the market. But one product outshines the rest in terms of Quality, Dependability and Performance. Zinger hands down.

Quick and easy way to change expired rubber tubing on my wingers.

Advantages: Quick and easy.

Disadvantages: None that I can see. The tubing stretches out as it ages and with use, needs to be replaced.

Very reliable product. Well built. Consistent throws.

Advantages: Great reliable throws every time.

Disadvantages: Because the primer fire is at the bottom of the unit by the ground it is hard to hear past 150 yards. Would be very helpful if that could somehow but put on the top somewhere.

Very good dog crate.

Advantages: Sturdy and safe. Good ventilation including along the bottom. Lightweight. I can lift it in and out of the truck bed with the tail gate down and no problem.

Disadvantages: When they say it takes two people to put it together it DOES. I live alone and got most of it done. Thankfully my Brother showed up and we got it finished. The door latch is a bit tricky to get right. Some of it is easier if you look at the instructions and think.. then reverse some of the sequence a little bit.

Purchased it as a spare and have not needed it yet.

Advantages: Have it when needed

Easy to setup and take down. Throws very accurate marks with a high arch. Light weight and easy to transport. I would recommend this product to anyone.

I am enjoying using the the double zinger wingers with the remotes. It is great for practicing double marks without a gunner or two. For me this means being able to schedule training sessions alone without having to arrange time with the availability of others.

Advantages: There have been some improvements over previous version with the pins that help with preventing part of the unit from closing up and causing injury and the cradle of the remote wire connection as well as clips to hold the legs together during transport are also good improvements.

Disadvantages: One disadvantage is that there is no ability to adjust the range and therefore creating ideal set-ups in the field can be challenging. I suggest that if some additional hooks were added so that then the strength of the pull on the rubbers could be adjusted to increments and hence less range . This is something I am considering adding myself to test out. I intend to drill a series of holes with movable hooks complete with safety pins for range adjustments. Adjusting the angle of the winger legs helps to a point with adjusting range but only marginally.
The winger can be unstable on even slightly uneven ground .Some stakes designed for the unit to be driven in the ground would help.
A carrying handle attached to the unit would help with carrying .The carrying case looks like a lot more effort and the handles do not appear to be well placed for ease of carrying for any distance.

Really like the case but it seems to rip very easily , packed it carefully for a trip and found small tears in it when unpapacked .

Hi there! Our retriever club (Retriever Club of Long Island) loves using your wingers for training and hunt tests. We just had a hunt test last week, and as expected, the wingers worked flawlessly!

Thank you Phil for sending me a new latch! As soon as I took the old latch off of the crate the latch pin fell out of the latch mechanism. It appears that the latch pin holes were drilled a fraction of a millimeter off.

I appreciate the immediate response and professionalism you and your company showed me in getting me a replacement latch asap with no questions asked. I'm very happy with level of customer service I received. Thank you for standing by your product!

Furthermore, I noticed that the new latch I received was thoroughly inspected and well-greased before shipping to ensure the highest quality. The new latch works phenomenally well and I couldn't be happier.

I've had three remote field trailers for 3 years. Only problem I had was the servo gears had to be replaced in two units and wire in one unit. Easily repaired and quick to send parts. No problems since.

All units are used about 2 times a week with a group I train with and we run 10-20 dogs, also at our monthly club training sessions when we run 30-45 dogs.

What we have found out is by keeping a person at each station loading birds/bumpers/loads it makes things go real fast. You can run one dog and keep the second dog in the holding blind just like in a test. Launchers are controlled on the line with remote (Dogtra) once everyone gives a thumbs up they're loaded and cleared, hearing protection not an option for loaders.

Advantages: Makes group training fast and just like at hunt tests. Dogs love the bang! Consistent LONG throws.

Disadvantages: Training is required to load, not for novice operators because this is a serious training tool. Only safe operators need apply!

These launchers are so awesome. We have used them to train a lot of dogs now....going into our 4th season with them, they are holding up so well. We haven't even changed rubbers yet. They have fired MANY a "duck" and they still keep throwing. I'd never buy anything else. Product knowledge and service are fantastic with Zinger. We recommend them always!!

Advantages: Can launch on many angles to get marks close ,far or to either side. Very durable in all weather and really easy to set up and use....easy storage pocket.

Disadvantages: no

After struggling with flimsy wire cages and plastic crates that could not stand up to the brute force of an anxiety ridden/escape artist Beauceron, I finally had enough and bought the Zinger 5000. It arrived just over a month and a half ago and I can safely say that he has been completely unable to do any damage or even come close to escaping this crate!

It was relatively easy to set up (Tip: you definitely need 2 people!) and while it’s bigger than other cages, it’s sleek metal design still looks great in my home. The heavy duty construction allows me to go to work and not worry that he might be breaking free and destroying my home and injuring himself in the process!

This is such a great product! Worth every penny (and I know it may seem like MANY pennies) for the peace of mind this crate has given me.
