Remote Zinger Winger II™ G5

This equipment has totally changed my approach to training. After 43 years as a professional trainer this is definitely a “new trick” for an “old dog!”

Advantages: The Zinger Winger II is without a doubt the best tool I’ve used to help with marking. There’s not a human bird thrower on the planet that can get close to the trajectory provided by the launcher and focus a dog’s attention on bird flight.

Disadvantages: I only have three...I should probably buy three more!

Great product currently have two of them, I will be looking to add two more this coming Spring.

Easy to setup and take down. Throws very accurate marks with a high arch. Light weight and easy to transport. I would recommend this product to anyone.

I am enjoying using the the double zinger wingers with the remotes. It is great for practicing double marks without a gunner or two. For me this means being able to schedule training sessions alone without having to arrange time with the availability of others.

Advantages: There have been some improvements over previous version with the pins that help with preventing part of the unit from closing up and causing injury and the cradle of the remote wire connection as well as clips to hold the legs together during transport are also good improvements.

Disadvantages: One disadvantage is that there is no ability to adjust the range and therefore creating ideal set-ups in the field can be challenging. I suggest that if some additional hooks were added so that then the strength of the pull on the rubbers could be adjusted to increments and hence less range . This is something I am considering adding myself to test out. I intend to drill a series of holes with movable hooks complete with safety pins for range adjustments. Adjusting the angle of the winger legs helps to a point with adjusting range but only marginally.
The winger can be unstable on even slightly uneven ground .Some stakes designed for the unit to be driven in the ground would help.
A carrying handle attached to the unit would help with carrying .The carrying case looks like a lot more effort and the handles do not appear to be well placed for ease of carrying for any distance.

"I have sent 1000's of training birds through my two Zinger Wingers. They both still look close to new and nothing has bent, broken, fallen off, or needed adjustment. I have trained with almost all the launcher brands on the market, and the convenience of the Zinger Winger's lightweight design is second to none. What really tickles me is how "grab and go" they are. They set up so fast it is hard to believe if you have used any other winger brands. Since they are never staked down, it was a pleasant surprise to find out how stable they are in a cross wind. I use them in some strong winds and they have never even threatened to tip over. Finally, being able to adjust the throw angle infinitely, and reposition the winger quickly without messing with stakes, are practical advantages if you need make a change in the fall for one young dog in the training group. Because it's so easy to do, you'll tend to make the adjustments you should make for the individual dog, rather than make a young dog "come up to the test" because it's too hard to move a winger. I like this. They're a really great training tool."
